Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Inclusion criteria for Study one: 1. Priority is given to individuals with BMI = 3 times/week). 2. No use of protein powder, mass gainers, vitamins, other nutritional supplements, or hormonal medications in the three months prior to the start of the study. Inclusion criteria for Study three: 1. Normal BMI range: 18.5–24. 2. Young males aged 18–35 who had no regular exercise in the six months prior to the study (<= 2 times/week). 3. No use of protein powder, mass gainers, vitamins, other nutritional supplements, or hormonal medications in the three months prior to the start of the study.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria for Study one : Individuals with impaired or severely compromised liver or kidney function; Those with diabetes, gout, or hyperuricemia; Individuals allergic to the ingredients in mass gainers, or strict vegetarians (vegans).
