Interventions

Gold Standard:Pulmonary function assessed by chest CT: FEV1/FVC < 0.7 (i.e., 70%).
Index test:To measure the regional time constant (t) and its derived parameters (t_med, t_iqr, t_prod, etc.) using EIT

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Aged 18 to 80 years, both sexes; 2. Continuous residence in high-altitude areas (altitude >= 2,500 m) for at least 5 years; 3. Participants must have been enrolled in the high-altitude epidemiological survey performed by the Center for High-Altitude Medicine at West China Hospital of Sichuan University, and must be capable of cooperating to complete forced spirometry; 4. Participants must voluntarily agree to participate in the study and sign the informed consent form.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Inability/unfitness for EIT or conditions interfering with EIT (e.g., pacemaker/defibrillator). 2. Inability to complete spirometry: myocardial infarction/shock within 3 months; severe heart failure/unstable angina within 4 weeks; uncontrolled hypertension (SBP>200 or DBP>100 mmHg); severe hyperthyroidism, etc. 3. Vulnerable groups: psychiatric disorders, cognitive impairment, critical illness, illiteracy, pregnancy.
