Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients who underwent simultaneous implant placement and guided bone regeneration at West China Hospital of Stomatology, Sichuan University, between January 2015 and February 2026, subsequently completed implant-supported prosthetic rehabilitation, and attended at least one post-restoration follow-up visit; 2. Implant sites presenting with a Terheyden Class 1/4 or 2/4 bone defect; 3. Availability of preoperative CBCT (T0), immediate postoperative CBCT (T1), CBCT obtained approximately 6 months postoperatively and before second-stage surgery (T2), a baseline periapical radiograph obtained using the paralleling technique at prosthesis delivery (T3), and a periapical radiograph obtained using the paralleling technique at the latest follow-up (T4); 4. Availability of complete and reliable baseline clinical and radiographic data.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Previous bone augmentation procedures at the implant site; 2. Previous implant failure at the implant site; 3. Immediate prosthetic restoration or loading; 4. Uncontrolled periodontal disease; 5. Failure to complete implant-supported prosthetic rehabilitation or absence of post-restoration follow-up data; 6. Missing key clinical data, radiographic records, medical records, or intraoral photographs; 7. Inadequate image quality precluding accurate measurement of T2 buccal bone wall thickness or marginal bone levels.
