Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Age: 18 years old - 80 years old; 2. Transferred to the ICU and met the definition of sepsis 3.0 (septic shock) within 24 hours (confirmed sepsis, persistent hypotension occurred, and vasopressor drugs were still needed to maintain mean arterial pressure (MAP) >= 65 mmHg and blood lactate concentration > 2 mmol/L after adequate volume resuscitation)
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients who already had AKI or were diagnosed with CKD stage 4-5 upon admission to the ICU; 2. Patients who had used norepinephrine for more than 24 hours; 3. Patients who died within 48 hours; 4. Patients who had undergone kidney or liver transplantation; 5. Pregnant or lactating women; 6. Patients with known glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency; 7. Patients with hemorrhagic, obstructive or hypovolemic shock; 8. Patients with severe burns; 9. Patients allergic to methylene blue, phenothiazine drugs or food dyes; 10. Patients who had recently taken selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors; 11. Patients with pulmonary hypertension, right-to-left shunt, increased right ventricular pressure, severe coronary atherosclerotic heart disease; 12. Patients who refused to sign the informed consent form.
