Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Age: <=14 years old (covering infants, preschoolers, and school-age children, which is consistent with the population characteristics of high incidence of pediatric bronchopneumonia); 2. Medical Institution and Diagnostic Requirements: Having sought medical treatment at Guangdong Women and Children Hospital from January 2022 to July 2025, with a clear Western medical diagnosis of "pediatric bronchopneumonia" and complete TCM syndrome diagnosis; 3. Treatment and Medical Record Requirements: Having received combined treatment of "TCM herbal compatibility combinations + Western medicines", with complete medication details (composition of TCM prescriptions, types of Western medicines) recorded in the Hospital Information System (HIS); 4. Baseline Information Requirements: Having complete baseline information (including name, gender, age, diagnosis and treatment date, etc.).
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Unclear or ambiguous TCM syndrome diagnosis (e.g., only labeled as "pneumonia" without specifying the syndrome type); 2. Use of only proprietary Chinese medicines (PCMs) and Western medicines in the treatment regimen (excluding TCM herbal compatibility combinations); 3. Age >14 years old (beyond the scope of pediatric population, with significant differences in physiological and pathological characteristics from children); 4. Comorbidity with important organ damage (such as heart failure, hepatic or renal failure) or other severe underlying diseases (such as congenital heart disease, immunodeficiency diseases); 5. Missing case data (e.g., incomplete medication records, missing baseline information) or existing logical errors (e.g., contradictions between medication dates and diagnosis/treatment dates).
