Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Eligible participants are adults aged between 18 and 65 who have been newly diagnosed with tuberculosis within the past four weeks, as confirmed by a sputum smear or GeneXpert test. 2. be able to read and communicate in Chinese 3. have no documented cognitive impairment or serious mental illness 4. are willing to provide informed consent and attend all scheduled sessions.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with multidrug-resistant TB, HIV co-infection, or current engagement in psychotherapy were excluded.
