Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Children aged 2–6 years undergoing elective ophthalmic surgery that requires peripheral intravenous catheter placement; 2. The child has no history of diabetes, swallowing disorders, or allergy to sweeteners; 3. The child’s behavioral score in the preoperative waiting area is <=2; 4. The guardian agrees and is willing for the child to participate in this study.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1.Patients with anticipated difficult peripheral venipuncture; 2.Patients with language and communication disorders; 3.Patients complicated with metabolic diseases; 4.Patients with neurodevelopmental retardation; 5.Patients with upper respiratory tract infection; 6.Patients complicated with gastroesophageal reflux disease; 7.Patients participating in other clinical studies; 8.Children whose guardians refuse their participation in this study; 9.Other conditions deemed inappropriate for study participation by the investigators;
