Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Inclusion criteria for patients (1) age >= 60 years (2) diagnosed with essential hypertension by a physician and meeting the diagnostic criteria for at least 6 months (3) currently on antihypertensive therapy (4) cognitively intact with adequate literacy and communication skills to complete the questionnaire (5) provided written informed consent and agreed to participate voluntarily. 2.Inclusion criteria for adult children: (1) age 18–59 years; (2) identified by the patient as the primary family caregiver or the main health information communicator; (3) provision of written informed consent and voluntary participation.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Exclusion criteria for patients: (1) secondary hypertension; (2) concurrent severe cognitive impairment, psychiatric disorders, or advanced-stage diseases (e.g., end-stage cancer) that preclude adequate cooperation; (3) severe hearing or speech impairment interfering with effective communication. 2.Exclusion criteria for adult children: (1) severe cognitive impairment, psychiatric disorders, or advanced-stage diseases (e.g., end-stage cancer) that preclude adequate cooperation; (2) severe hearing or speech impairment interfering with effective communication.
