Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1.All adult inpatients (aged =18 years) admitted to The Fifth Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University between January 1, 2021, and December 31, 2025. 2.Patients admitted to clinical departments enrolled in the hospital’s pressure injury reporting and registration system (comprising 50 primary clinical departments and 72 independent nursing units); 3.Patients registered in the hospital’s pressure injury reporting system with complete quarterly data (including inpatient census and documented pressure injury events);
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1.Patients with a documented diagnosis of pressure injury on admission (community-acquired pressure injuries, not considered Hospital-Acquired Pressure Injuries [HAPI]); 2.Duplicate records of the same pressure injury at the same anatomical site during a single hospitalization (only the first occurrence was retained for analysis to avoid double-counting); 3.Data from non-inpatient departments not enrolled in the hospital’s pressure injury reporting system (e.g., outpatient clinics, day surgery centers);
