Combined treatment subgroup:Vitamin C combined with dexamethasone
Prevention group:Intravenous injection of vitamin C
The subgroup for simple treatment:0.9% sodium chloride and dexamethasone

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Patients with a clinically and pathologically confirmed diagnosis of rectal cancer who are scheduled to receive radiotherapy; 2.Expected survival > 1 year; 3.First-time radiotherapy; 4.Aged between 18 and 80 years; 5.Agree to participate in the trial and sign the informed consent form

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Deficiency of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G-6-PD); 2.Allergy to vitamin C; 3.Intestinal failure or short bowel syndrome of any etiology; 4.Related intestinal diseases (inflammatory bowel disease, celiac disease, Whipple's disease); 5.Renal insufficiency; 6.Urinary calculi (urolithiasis)
