Fixed Recovery Interval group (FRI group):Perform 2 sets of back squats at 85% 1RM (terminated at 5% velocity loss), and assess countermovement jump height at fixed time points (10 s, 3 min, 6 min, 9
Self-Selected Recovery Interval group (SSRI group):Perform 2 sets of back squats at 85% 1RM (terminated at 5% velocity loss), and assess countermovement jump height when participants report full recov
Control group (CON group):No squat conditioning activity
after quiet rest for matched duration, assess countermovement jump height at the same fixed time points

Eligibility

Age
18 Years to 25 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Female basketball players, aged 18 to 25 years old; 2. Have at least 3 years of systematic resistance training experience, and perform regular resistance training at least 3 times per week in the past 12 months; 3. One-repetition maximum (1RM) of back squats = 1.2 times body weight; 4. In the past 6 months, there has been no lower limb musculoskeletal injury, and no movement system diseases that affect the performance of squats and vertical jumps.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. There may be internal medicine, orthopedic or neuromuscular diseases that could affect the performance of the maximum squat or vertical jump. 2. High-intensity lower body training was conducted within 48 hours before the test. 3. Unable to complete the entire testing process.
