intervention for athletic performance

Interventions

Low–Moderate–High intervention group:Participants will complete three flywheel eccentric calf-raise interventions in the following order: low inertia, moderate inertia, and high inertia: Intervention
Intervention day 2: moderate inertia, 0.0711 kg·m2
Intervention day 3: high inertia, 0.1011 kg·m2. A standardized procedure will be followed on each intervention day: standardized warm-up ? pre-intervention reactive-strength test ? flywheel eccentric
Low–High–Moderate intervention group:Participants will complete three flywheel eccentric calf-raise interventions in the following order: low inertia, high inertia, and moderate inertia: Intervention
Intervention day 2: high inertia, 0.1011 kg·m2
Intervention day 3: moderate inertia, 0.0711 kg·m2. A standardized procedure will be followed on each intervention day: standardized warm-up ? pre-intervention reactive-strength test ? flywheel eccent

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Target participants: National-level/high-level track-and-field athletes, with a planned sample size of n = 37, and with at least 2 years of resistance training experience. Inclusion criteria: Participants will be eligible if they are aged 18–30 years; have a clear background in track-and-field training and competition; have completed at least 2 years of systematic resistance training; are familiar with flywheel calf raises or can perform the exercise competently after familiarization; and are willing to provide written informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria: Participants will be excluded if they have experienced a serious lower-limb injury within the previous 3 months, or still present with pain or functional limitations; have neuromuscular disorders or cardiovascular contraindications; or are using any medication or supplements that, in the investigators’ judgment, may substantially interfere with neuromuscular performance.
