Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. The patient is younger than 2 years old, with no gender restriction. 2. Sputum or nasopharyngeal swab tests positive for RSV by viral nucleic acid detection (PCR amplification), and the patient is admitted to the general ward or PICU due to bronchitis or pneumonia. 3. The subject provides informed consent, understands and is willing to comply with the study protocol, and signs the relevant documents.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Children with co-infection of other pathogens are excluded (all patients will undergo blood and sputum cultures, and a 13-plex respiratory nucleic acid test). 2. Children with other organ dysfunction, such as bronchopulmonary dysplasia or pulmonary fibrosis leading to difficulty in weaning from mechanical ventilation, or those with severe heart disease, severe malnutrition, inherited metabolic diseases, or immunodeficiency disorders, etc. 3. After the necessary clinical tests have been completed, the remaining specimen volume is insufficient for the requirements of this study.
