Age
50 Years to 75 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Female patients aged =50 years. 2.Patients diagnosed with lumbar degenerative diseases and scheduled to undergo lumbar spine surgery. 3.Patients who can complete preoperative lumbar MRI, whole-spine standing radiographs, bioelectrical impedance analysis, and handgrip strength assessment. 4.Patients from whom a small amount of paraspinal muscle tissue can be obtained intraoperatively without altering the established surgical plan. 5.Patients who understand the study protocol and voluntarily sign the informed consent form.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Patients with a history of previous lumbar spine surgery. 2.Patients with liver cirrhosis or other severe chronic liver diseases. 3.Patients with active malignant tumors or a definite history of cachexia. 4.Patients with rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, inflammatory myopathy, or other active autoimmune diseases. 5.Patients with long-term use of medium to high doses of glucocorticoids. 6.Patients with recent active infection, or those with markedly elevated CRP or ESR that cannot be explained by lumbar degenerative disease. 7.Patients with uncontrolled severe endocrine or metabolic diseases, such as diabetes mellitus with HbA1c >8.0%, hyperthyroidism, or hypothyroidism. 8.Patients with neurological or primary muscular diseases, such as Parkinson’s disease, sequelae of stroke, muscular dystrophy, or myasthenia gravis. 10. Active cardiovascular diseases; 11. Severe renal insufficiency, severe cardiopulmonary insufficiency, or other conditions that the researcher deems unsuitable for inclusion in the study;
