Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age 12–16 years (calculated by birth date, accurate to 0.1 years); 2. Currently attending Chongqing Phoenix Middle School, The Affiliated High School of Chongqing Normal University, or Qingmu Pass Middle School; 3. In good health, confirmed through self-report and health screening, with no known heart or lung diseases, diabetes, musculoskeletal disorders affecting movement, or other chronic conditions that might interfere with exercise tests; 4. Has not taken any medications in the past two weeks that could affect heart rate or metabolism (including but not limited to beta-blockers, corticosteroids, bronchodilators, thyroid hormone preparations, etc.); 5. Willing to participate in this study, with both the participant and their legal guardian having signed a written informed consent form.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Various heart and lung conditions clearly diagnosed by a medical institution (including but not limited to congenital heart disease, cardiomyopathy, arrhythmia, asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, pulmonary hypertension, etc.); 2. Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes (diagnosed by a doctor or currently receiving blood sugar-lowering treatment); 3. Musculoskeletal system diseases or injuries that affect movement (such as unhealed fractures, arthritis, ligament tears, herniated discs, etc., which the researchers judge might affect the safety of wheelchair exercise or test results); 4. Taking beta blockers, corticosteroids, or other medications in the past two weeks that may significantly affect heart rate, blood pressure, or energy metabolism; 5. Any other medical or behavioral factors that, as assessed by the researchers, could interfere with exercise performance, affect CPET data quality, or increase the risk of exercise testing (such as an unresolved acute infectious disease, severe anemia, uncontrolled hypertension, or mental illness preventing compliance with instructions).
