Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Aged >= 18 years; 2. Completed colonoscopy during the same period with pathological confirmation of at least one colorectal polyp. 3. Diagnosis of fatty liver disease by imaging. 4. Presence of at least one metabolic cardiovascular risk factor, as defined by any of the following: (1) BMI >= 24.0 kg/m², or waist circumference >= 90 cm (male) or >= 85 cm (female), or excess body fat mass or body fat percentage; (2) Fasting plasma glucose >= 6.1 mmol/L, or 2-h post-load glucose >= 7.8 mmol/L, or HbA1c >= 5.7%, or history of type 2 diabetes mellitus, or homeostatic model assessment of insulin resistance (HOMA-IR) >= 2.5; (3) Fasting serum triglycerides >= 1.70 mmol/L, or currently receiving lipid-lowering therapy; (4) Serum high-density lipoprotein cholesterol 130/85 mmHg, or currently receiving antihypertensive therapy.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Excessive alcohol consumption (defined as ethanol intake >= 210 g/week for males and >= 140 g/week for females). 2. Serological or virological diagnosis of hepatitis B, hepatitis C, or autoimmune liver disease. 3. Drug-induced liver injury. 4. Metabolic liver diseases, such as Wilson’s disease. 5. Missing key biochemical parameters.
