Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Patients requiring valve replacement surgery are enrolled in the valvular heart disease group; 2.the control group comprises patients with normal cardiac function, ASA class I–II, undergoing elective surgery.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.This study strictly excludes patients with a history of neurological diseases (epilepsy, stroke, severe traumatic brain injury), severe psychiatric disorders (e.g., schizophrenia), long-term use of psychoactive drugs or sedatives, history of substance abuse, severe hepatic or renal insufficiency (Child-Pugh class C, eGFR < 30 ml/min), allergy to sevoflurane, prior brain radiotherapy or chemotherapy, inability to cooperate with EEG monitoring, or pregnancy/lactation.
