Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) During the hospitalization period at the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University, the blood culture was positive and laboratory identified as S. aureus. 2) Clinical judgment conforms to the condition of bloodstream infection (non contaminating bacteria) (such as the appearance of infection related symptoms/signs recorded by clinical physicians as bloodstream infection; if necessary, combined with the initiation of anti infective treatment, etc.). 3) Having core clinical data and outcome data available for analysis (including at least grouping information MRSA/MSSA and information required for 28 day outcome determination).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) Only for the possibility of contamination/colonization (such as single blood culture positive and not clinically supported for infection, no anti infection treatment and no evidence of infection, etc.; specific judgment criteria need to be unified before the start of the study); 2) Key variables are missing and cannot be completed (such as inability to determine MRSA/MSSA, inability to obtain index date or 28 day outcome, etc.). 3) Cases transferred from other hospitals that are not generated during the diagnosis and treatment process of our hospital and cannot obtain complete medical record information (if inclusion is necessary, data integrity requirements and index date definitions must be clearly defined).
