Intervention group:Chinese Ethnic Minority Dances
Control group:Free-form Chinese ethnic minority dance training without instruction, synchronization, or emotional expression components
Blank control group:No Chinese Ethnic Minority Dances exercise, no training, and maintenance of usual daily routine.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.A score between 14 and 19 on the Beck Depression Inventory-II (BDI-II), or between 5 and 9 on the Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9), or between 53 and 62 on the Self-Rating Depression Scale (SDS) — at least one of these thresholds must be met; 2.Presence of 2 to 4 depressive symptoms according to the DSM-5 criteria, with a symptom duration of at least 2 weeks (occurring on most days and for most of the day); 3. Evidence of significant subjective distress or mild impairment in daily functioning, as determined by the interviewer based on clinical judgment; 4.Voluntary participation, with full understanding of the informed consent form and signed personally by the participant.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Moderate or severe major depressive disorder; 2.History of substance abuse or psychiatric disorders (e.g., anxiety disorder, mania, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder); 3.History of serious neurological disorders (e.g., Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease, epilepsy); 4.Active suicidal or self-injurious behavior; 5.Severe chronic medical conditions (e.g., cancer, stroke, heart disease, end-stage liver or kidney disease); 6.Currently receiving prescribed psychotropic medications or psychotherapy, or a history of psychiatric hospitalization within the past two years; 7.Contraindication to physical exercise as determined by a physician; 8.Presence of metal implants in the head or facial region, or a history of head trauma.
