Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients diagnosed with diabetic retinopathy (DR) via slit-lamp examination, optical coherence tomography (OCT), fundus fluorescein angiography (FA), or scanning laser ophthalmoscopy (SLO); 2. Patients with general physical conditions suitable for ophthalmic procedures; 3. Aqueous humor samples were completely collected and stored in a standardized manner (frozen at -80°C).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with type 1 diabetes mellitus; 2. Patients complicated with other retinal diseases; 3. Patients who have received other intraocular treatments recently, such as retinal photocoagulation, corticosteroid injection, vitreoretinal retinal surgery, etc. 4. Patients with poor general physical conditions who are unfit for ophthalmic operations; 5. Samples unavailable for detection due to hemolysis, contamination or improper storage;
