Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. During the research period, patients were hospitalized and treated at the participating center. 2. After review of the medical records, they met the criteria for confirmed, highly likely or possible TBM in the diagnostic classification for tuberculous meningitis used in the study. 3. At least basic information about admission and hospital outcomes could be obtained from the medical records. 4. There was no age limit. During the statistical analysis, the data could be stratified by adult and children.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. After review, it was confirmed to be a non-TBM or a coding/retrieval error; 2. The duplicate hospitalization records cannot be combined and the first TBM-related hospitalization record cannot be determined; 3. The core data is severely lacking, making it impossible to determine the basic diagnosis level or hospital outcome; 4. Other circumstances as required by the ethics committee or data providing center to be excluded.
