Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Age between 18 and 65 years old; 2. Persistent or recurrent neck pain and limited mobility for >= 3 months; 3. Pain intensity in the Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) >= 3; 4. Diagnosed with insomnia: Evaluated by the Brief Insomnia Questionnaire and meeting the diagnostic criteria for insomnia disorder in the 5th Edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5); 5. Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) > 7 points; 6. Insomnia Severity Index (ISI) > 10 points.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. With specific causes of neck pain (such as malignant tumors, spinal arthritis, spinal fractures); 2. Pregnant or breastfeeding; 3. Previously undergone spinal surgery; 4. Suffering from inflammatory or autoimmune diseases; 5. Having other clinical diagnosed sleep disorders (such as sleep apnea, restless legs syndrome); 6. Self-reported having a history of mental, neurological or physical diseases directly related to insomnia episodes (such as substance abuse, alcohol abuse, inflammatory diseases); 7. Starting new treatment for insomnia or pain within the past month; 8. Having contraindications for rTMS (such as severe head trauma, intracranial hypertension, implanted ferromagnetic devices, history of epilepsy).
