Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Conforming to the diagnostic criteria of the Chinese Expert Consensus on the Diagnosis and Treatment of Dry Eye (2024): 1. Dry eye can be diagnosed when FBUT <= 5 s or Schirmer I test <= 5 mm/5 min without topical anesthesia, in conjunction with at least one of the following subjective symptoms: dryness, foreign body sensation, burning, fatigue, discomfort, or fluctuating vision. 2. Dry eye can be diagnosed when 5 s < FBUT <= 10 s or 5 mm/5 min < Schirmer I test <= 10 mm/5 min without topical anesthesia, in conjunction with at least one of the following subjective symptoms: dryness, foreign body sensation, burning, fatigue, discomfort, or fluctuating vision, and positive fluorescein staining of the cornea and conjunctiva. 2. There is no limit to gender or age. Patients can visit the Ophthalmology Clinic of the Hangzhou Branch of Wenzhou Medical University Affiliated Eye Hospital. 3. The medical record system contains the following data: patient outpatient records; dry eye examination results (primarily including tear meniscus height, tear break-up time, upper and lower eyelid meibomian gland examinations, and corneal topography); Demodex examination findings; and questionnaire information.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Concomitant other major ocular surface diseases, including: active infectious keratitis, corneal ulcer, severe corneal chemical injury, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, ocular cicatricial pemphigoid, corneal dystrophy, and pterygium encroaching on the corneal optical zone; 2. Prior ocular surgery within the preceding 3 months.
