Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: This study involved children aged 0-16: 20 in the healthy group, 60 in the asthma remission group, and 60 in the severe asthma progression group. All children were diagnosed according to the Global Initiative for Asthma (GINA) guidelines. An acute asthma attack was defined as acute or subacute symptoms related to airflow obstruction, while the remission phase meant no asthma symptoms were reported and no related medications were used.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria include having severe infections, autoimmune diseases, other respiratory diseases, or a history of malignant tumors.
