Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Sepsis group 1.Satisfy the diagnostic criteria of sepsis (presence of infection combined with a SOFA score = 2); 2.ICU admission with definitive diagnosis made within 24 hours. Healthy control group: Healthy volunteers who had health checkups at our hospital during the same period, aged 18 or older, matched with sepsis patients in age and gender, with no history of serious chronic heart, liver, or kidney diseases, and no history of autoimmune diseases or malignant tumors.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Aged under 18 years old; 2. Received long-term (>= 2 weeks) immunosuppressants or glucocorticoids within the past 3 months; 3. Patients with malignant tumors or hematological diseases; 4. Suffering from autoimmune diseases or immunodeficiency disorders; 5. Pregnant or breastfeeding women; 6. Incomplete clinical data or refusal to participate in the study.
