Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Age >=18 years, with no restriction on sex; 2. A definite history of foreign body ingestion or clinical symptoms such as pharyngeal foreign body sensation, odynophagia, dysphagia, or retrosternal pain; 3. Radiologic or endoscopic confirmation of intraluminal or periesophageal foreign body, or strong clinical suspicion thereof; 4. Complete and traceable in-hospital medical records.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Non-sharp foreign bodies (e.g., food bolus, blister packs, coins) with no risk of vascular complications upon assessment; 2. Concomitant upper gastrointestinal bleeding from other definitive causes (e.g., variceal rupture, active peptic ulcer bleeding); 3. Patients with incomplete clinical data.
