Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Non-anesthesiology residents enrolled in the standardized residency training program of our hospital who voluntarily participate and sign informed consent. 2. Participants had not previously received systematic training in endotracheal intubation or VR-based airway anatomy teaching, and had no or only limited experience in endotracheal intubation; 3. Participants were able to complete the theoretical learning, teaching intervention, manikin training, and follow-up assessments at 3, 6, and 12 months; 4. Participants had normal audiovisual function and the basic ability to understand and perform the required tasks.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Participants were residents in anesthesiology or had previously received systematic airway management training. 2. Participants who had relatively extensive prior experience in endotracheal intubation; 3. Participants who had previously received VR-based airway anatomy training or similar immersive airway management training; 4. Participants who had obvious visual, auditory, or balance dysfunction, or had motion sickness, epilepsy, severe vertigo, or other conditions that made them unsuitable for the use of VR equipment; 5. Participants who were expected to be unable to complete follow-up, were unwilling to provide informed consent, or refused randomization.
