18 Years to 90 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) Patients with ASA physical status classification I–III; (2) Patients scheduled for elective radical thyroidectomy, Halsted radical mastectomy, radical hysterectomy, or laparoscopic radical resection for colorectal cancer under general anesthesia.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Phase 1: (1) History of psychiatric illness; (2) Pregnant or breastfeeding women; (3) Known psychiatric illness; (4) Poor cooperation; (5) Intraoperative change of surgical procedure. Phase 2: (1) History of psychiatric illness; (2) Poor cooperation or language/communication barriers; (3) Change of surgical procedure; (4) Patients with a pacemaker; (5) Patients with a history of upper extremity nerve injury or spinal surgery; (6) Patients with skin infection near the acupoints or allergy to electrode pads.
