Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Inclusion criteria for case group: (1) Meet the UK Brain Bank clinical diagnostic criteria for Parkinson’s disease; (2) Complete routine blood tests, comprehensive biochemical panel, and electrolyte laboratory tests upon admission; (3) Have complete baseline medical records with traceable follow-up data on post-discharge all-cause mortality; (4) Medical records must be de-identified. 2. Inclusion criteria for control group: (1) Hospitalization period concurrent with that of the case group; (2) No history of Parkinson’s disease, Parkinson-plus syndromes, or secondary parkinsonism; (3) Complete routine blood tests, biochemical panel, and electrolyte tests upon admission; (4) Have complete baseline clinical data.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. All types of secondary parkinsonism, Parkinson-plus syndromes, and hereditary Parkinson's disease; 2. Complicated with malignant tumors, end-stage liver and renal failure, or severe hematological diseases before enrollment; 3. Received treatments that could significantly affect peripheral blood test results such as blood transfusion or high-dose hormone pulse therapy within 1 month prior to admission; 4. Massive missing key indicators of routine blood tests, biochemistry and electrolytes, making statistical analysis unavailable; 5. Incomplete clinical data that prevents the judgment of follow-up outcomes.
