Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Adults aged 18 years or older; 2. Diagnosis of anterior disc displacement without reduction with limited mouth opening according to DC/TMD; 3. Bilateral TMJ MRI showing that the disc is anterior to the condyle on one or both sides at maximal mouth opening with abnormal condylar mobility; 4. No treatment for temporomandibular joint disorders within the previous 3 months; 5. Provision of written informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Absence of bone at the roof of the glenoid fossa on CT; 2. Rheumatoid arthritis or other systemic diseases; 3. Hematologic disorders or use of anticoagulant medication; 4. Psychological or psychiatric disorders that may affect study compliance; 5. Women planning pregnancy or currently pregnant; 6. Any other condition considered unsuitable by the investigators.
