Effects of aquatic multicomponent exercise on frailty (intervention group):Environment: Conducted in a constant-temperature shallow pool, with a water depth of ~1.2 m and water temperature maintained
moderate intensity) and the talk test ("ableto talk but not sing"), supplemented by in-water heart-rate monitoring. Intensity is dynamically adjusted based on individual tolerance and safety signals.
Effects of aquatic multicomponent exercise on frailty (control group):Health education materials related to elderly health, exercise safety, fall prevention, and nutrition were provided
weekly telephone or in-person follow-ups of approximately 15–20 minutes were conducted to address questions, with no structured exercise prescription or supervised training provided.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age >=60 years old; 2. Gender is not limited; 3. Residence status: Elderly residents in the community, who can travel to and from the experimental site by themselves or with assistance. 4. Frailty status: Fried frailty phenotype score >=1 point (including pre-frailty and frailty). 5. There are no acute phase diseases or severe decompensation states. The current condition has been evaluated by clinical doctors as relatively stable 6. No contraindications for exercise; 7. No color blindness, mental illness, etc. 8. Be able to understand the research content, be willing to participate in this study and sign the written informed consent form

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Acute illness or severe decompensated conditions, such as acute infections, early postoperative period after major surgery, uncontrolled heart failure, severe hypertension, or poorly controlled diabetes with metabolic decompensation; 2.Marked cognitive impairment or severe mental disorders that make it impossible to understand study information or comply with the intervention and assessments; recent intracranial injury, intracranial hemorrhage, or intracranial surgery still in the recovery phase, as well as other neurological diseases requiring strict intracranial pressure control; 3.Presence of important implanted devices or other contraindications to exercise/aquatic training, and judged by relevant specialists to be unsuitable for moderate-intensity exercise or aquatic training; 4.Specific contraindications to aquatic training: poorly controlled epilepsy or syncope tendency, large open wounds or active skin infections, uncontrolled urinary or fecal incontinence, active infectious diseases requiring isolation, or a history of severe allergy to swimming pool disinfectants; 5.Marked fear of water, with persistent inability to relax in shallow water after explanation and trial exposure, making it difficult to safely complete basic water walking and exercises; 6.Any other obvious safety concerns or conditions judged by the investigators to seriously affect adherence to the study protocol.
