Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. At our hospital, patients underwent laparoscopic surgery under general anesthesia and the operation duration was >=2 hours (including but not limited to radical gastrectomy for gastric cancer, radical resection for colorectal cancer); 2. Age is 65 years old or above; 3. NYHA classification: Grade I - II; 4. The American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) classification ranges from grade I to grade III; 5. The preoperative Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA) score was >=26 points, and the Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE) score was >23 points.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Preoperative neurological/psychiatric system diseases: history of old cerebral infarction, cerebral hemorrhage, epilepsy, and Parkinson's disease; 2. Combined severe cardiovascular diseases: old myocardial infarction, unstable angina pectoris, cardiac insufficiency; 3. There are contraindications for the use of dexmedetomidine (such as second-degree or higher atrioventricular block, severe bradycardia); 4. Abnormalities in the nasal cavity anatomy or active nasal diseases; 5. Severe impairment of liver and kidney functions: Child-Pugh classification >=B grade or eGFR <60 mL/min/1.73 m^2.
