Intervention group:The intervention group received a Wushu exercise program delivered by professional Wushu athletes . The Taolu-based program consisted of twelve animal-themed movements derived from
Control group:The control group participated in unstructured free play matched in duration and frequency to the intervention group. The environment contained a variety of materials (e.g., rollers, lad
children self-selected their activities, sequence, and intensity, with no systematic progression in movement precision, volume, or difficulty. Kindergarten teachers provided routine safety supervision

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age 5–6 years; 2. Generally healthy, with no known history of neuromuscular, cardiovascular, or metabolic diseases; 3. No musculoskeletal injuries in the past 6 months; 4. Able to understand and follow test instructions and complete all assessments; 5. Written informed consent signed by a parent or legal guardian, and verbal assent obtained from the child.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Diagnosed with cardiovascular or respiratory diseases, or other contraindications to exercise as identified by a physician; 2. Currently participating in another structured exercise training program; 3. Unable to complete all tests; 4. Parent/guardian or child refuses to participate.
