Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1.Aged between 18 to 45 years old ; 2.history of acute and chronic AS ; 3.clinical diagnosis : ankle swelling, pain, limited activity ; tenderness in the lateral malleolus ( anterior talofibular ligament / calcaneofibular ligament ) ; can not fully weight-bearing walking ( early after injury ) ; 4.Voluntary signing of informed consent to study.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Fractures: Ankle fractures confirmed by X-ray/MRI, including distal fibula, talus, and base of the fifth metatarsal; 2. High ankle sprain: Injury to the distal tibiofibular syndesmosis; 3. Tendon rupture: Complete rupture of the peroneal tendons/Achilles tendon; 4. Talus osteochondral injury: Confirmed by MRI or highly suspected; 5. Previous ankle issues: History of chronic ankle instability (=3 sprains within a year), previous surgery or ligament reconstruction on the same ankle, symptomatic ankle osteoarthritis; 6. Systemic diseases that interfere with assessment or treatment: Rheumatoid arthritis, gout, peripheral neuropathy, diabetic foot, peripheral vascular diseases that affect healing. Long-term use of anticoagulants or immunosuppressants; 7. Factors affecting rehabilitation: Unable to cooperate with rehab training or injuries requiring immediate surgery; 8. Pregnant women
