Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Healthy Control Group (Group A) 1. Ages 18-60; 2. Full-mouth probing depth = 3 mm, bleeding on probing 1.5 mm; (2) Plaque is characterized by iso- or hyperechoic, relatively homogeneous internal echo, smooth and regular surface, no ulceration, and no obvious vulnerability signs; 3. Periodontal examination meets one or more of the following: (1) Worst interproximal CAL = 5 mm; (2) Radiographic bone loss reaching = 1/3 of the root; (3) Tooth loss due to periodontitis; (4) Maximum PD = 6 mm; (5) Vertical bone loss = 3 mm; (6) Furcation involvement grade II or higher; (7) Moderate or severe alveolar ridge defects; 4. At least 20 remaining teeth excluding third molars, with at least one molar in each quadrant; 5. No periodontal treatment in the past 6 months; 6. No known systemic diseases other than atherosclerosis, such as diabetes, severe immune disorders, or liver/kidney dysfunction.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1.Use of antibiotics or nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs within the previous 3 months; use of immunosuppressants, glucocorticoids, anticoagulants, or other medications affecting platelet function within the previous year. 2.A previous or current diagnosis of any disease that may affect platelet count or function, including but not limited to thrombocytopenia, thrombocytosis, platelet function disorders, leukemia, myeloproliferative disorders, aplastic anemia, severe anemia, coagulation disorders, or other hematologic diseases. 3.A history of acute infection, fever, trauma, or surgery within the previous 3 months, or the current presence of any other acute or chronic inflammatory disease that may affect systemic inflammatory status or platelet activation. 4.A history of smoking or alcohol abuse. 5.Pregnant or breastfeeding women. 6.Refusal to participate in the study or failure to provide written informed consent.
