Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Aged 18–40 years inclusive; 2. Diagnosed with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) in accordance with the Chinese Guidelines for the Prevention and Treatment of Type 2 Diabetes (2022 Edition), with first diagnosis confirmed within the preceding 6 months. Diagnostic criteria: fasting blood glucose >=7.0 mmol/L, or 2-hour postprandial blood glucose >=11.1 mmol/L, or random blood glucose >=11.1 mmol/L accompanied by diabetic symptoms; asymptomatic subjects require repeated testing for confirmation; 3. Absence of other types of diabetes (e.g., type 1 diabetes mellitus, gestational diabetes mellitus, secondary diabetes); 4. Free from severe organic diseases including severe hepatic or renal failure, malignant tumors, autoimmune diseases, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases; 5. No standardized dietary, exercise or pharmacological interventions for diabetes received in the latest 3 months; 6. Voluntary participation with signed informed consent.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Participants with a prior history of diabetes or previous hypoglycemic treatment; 2. Those under stress conditions such as acute infection, surgery or trauma within the latest 3 months; 3. Individuals taking long-term medications that may affect endocrine function (e.g., glucocorticoids, oral contraceptives); 4. Patients with psychiatric disorders or cognitive impairment unable to complete questionnaires, specimen collection and intervention; 5. Subjects with poor anticipated compliance or high risk of severe loss to follow-up during follow-up; 6. Persons with confirmed occupational exposure to environmental endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDCs), including workers in chemical industry, pesticide production, plastic processing and related sectors; 7. Vulnerable populations: patients with mental illness, cognitive dysfunction, critically ill patients, pregnant women and illiterate individuals.
