45 Years to 80 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients aged >=45 years with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM); 2. Diagnosed with diabetic retinopathy (DR) by ophthalmologic examination and currently hospitalized for treatment, including but not limited to pars plana vitrectomy (PPV) or pharmacological therapy; 3. Best-corrected visual acuity (BCVA) in the better-seeing eye >=0.3; 4. Met the diagnostic criteria for mild cognitive impairment (MCI) based on the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA); 5. Had basic communication ability, with a primary caregiver involved in daily dietary management and willing to cooperate with the intervention; 6. Voluntarily agreed to participate in the study and provided written informed consent personally.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with severe cognitive impairment or dementia; 2. Patients with severe psychiatric disorders or emotional disturbances that may affect intervention adherence or outcome assessment; 3. Patients with severe acute or chronic complications or end-stage diseases, such as diabetic ketoacidosis or severe diabetic nephropathy requiring dialysis; 4. Patients who had recently participated in other behavioral intervention studies.
