Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1.Adult obese patients aged 18 to 75 years, with a body mass index BMI>=30 kg/m^2, and a moderate-to-high risk of postoperative pulmonary complications (as assessed by the ARISCAT score). 2.?Scheduled to undergo elective laparoscopic bariatric surgery. 3.?Signed informed consent obtained.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1.?Patients with severe cardiovascular disease or severe hepatic or renal dysfunction. 2.?A history of severe complications, including pulmonary infection, pleural effusion, atelectasis, respiratory failure, or cardiogenic pulmonary edema. 3.?Contraindications to positive end-expiratory pressure (PEEP), such as tension pneumothorax, pulmonary bullae, severe barotrauma, hypovolemic shock, bronchopleural fistula, or increased intracranial pressure. 4.?Massive intraoperative hemorrhage (greater than 500 mL). 5.?Hemodynamic instability. 6.?A history of any form of prior lung surgery. 7.?Craniocerebral trauma, neuromuscular decline, or other diseases that impair respiratory function.
