Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Age >=18 years; 2. Patients scheduled for elective surgery under general anesthesia with endotracheal intubation; 3. Patients recovering in the post-anesthesia care unit; 4. American Society of Anesthesiologists physical status classification I–II; 5. Voluntary participation and provision of written informed consent.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Known allergy or adverse reactions to general anesthetics or any ingredient in the popsicle; 2. Patients who are unable to communicate, have impaired consciousness, or have intellectual disabilities; 3. Patients with a tracheostomy; 4. Patients with diseases or symptoms that may affect the assessment of thirst; 5. Patients undergoing gastrointestinal surgery.
