Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Case group: (1) Meeting the diagnostic criteria for tic disorders in the DSM-5. (2) First onset with no prior systematic treatment; (3) Aged 3 to 15 years; (4) Parental informed consent was obtained. 2. Healthy control group: (1) No diagnosis of tic disorder or other mental illnesses; (2) No serious physical illness; (3) Age is matched with the case group; (4) Parents are informed and provide written consent by signing the informed consent form.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Case group: (1) Children with intellectual disability; (2) Children with autism spectrum disorder; (3) Children withepilepsy; (4) Children with other neurological diseases including athetosis, chorea and hepatolenticular degeneration.
