Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Dentists or dental students engaged in clinical work, willing to voluntarily participate in the study. 2. Patients: (1) Aged 65 years or older; (2) Diagnosed by a dentist as requiring dental treatment, including but not limited to endodontic therapy, oral surgical procedures, and periodontal therapy; (3) Have a documented diagnosis of systemic disease(s) confirmed by medical history and medical records; (4) The patient or their legal guardian is able to understand the study content and voluntarily provides written informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Individuals who are not dentists or dental students by training; 2. Those who complete the questionnaire incompletely or have significant missing data; 3. Cognitive or communication impairment: Presence of severe cognitive dysfunction (e.g., moderate to severe dementia, disturbance of consciousness) or psychiatric disorders that preclude effective communication or follow-up, even with the assistance of a legal guardian; 4. Unstable systemic condition: American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) physical status class IV or V (i.e., patients with uncontrolled, life-threatening systemic diseases). Additionally, patients who have experienced major cardiovascular events within the preceding 3 months, including acute myocardial infarction, unstable angina, or cerebrovascular accident; 5. Limited life expectancy: Patients with advanced malignant tumors or other diseases with an expected survival of less than one year.
