Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Preeclamptic patients with American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) physical status classification III, aged 18–45 years, height 150–175 cm, scheduled for cesarean delivery under combined spinal-epidural anesthesia.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with multiple gestation, psychiatric disorders, contraindications to neuraxial anesthesia (e.g., patient refusal, increased intracranial pressure, hypovolemia, or coagulation abnormalities), severe cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, endocrine disorders, and respiratory diseases were excluded.
