Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1.Patients diagnosed with chronic periodontal disease according to the consensus of the American Academy of Periodontology and the European Academy of Periodontology (2017), as well as volunteers without detected periodontal inflammation; 2.The patient has at least 15 remaining teeth in the mouth. More than 30% of the teeth have probing pocket depths of >= 5 mm, and there is bleeding during probing. Among them, the probing pocket depth of at least 2 or more teeth is >= 7 mm; 3.The patient signed the informed consent form; 4.Aged over 20 years old and under 70 years old;
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1.Pregnant and lactating women; 2.Have used local or systemic antibiotics or anti-inflammatory drugs within the past three months; 3.Any oral lesions or oral cancer, a history of chemotherapy within the past 5 years, or a history of radiotherapy in the head and neck area; 4.Has a history of chronic systemic diseases (except for T2DM); 5.The patient has a physical disability or mental disorder that affects their ability to maintain oral hygiene. 6.There are situations that may affect the completion of the research or interfere with the analysis results, such as non-cooperation and concealing medical history.
