Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age >= 18 years; 2. Radiologically confirmed diagnosis of acute type A aortic dissection (AAAD) and undergoing emergency or urgent surgery in our hospital; 3. Admitted to the ICU postoperatively for invasive mechanical ventilation management, with a "planned extubation" process.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients who have undergone preoperative tracheostomy or are dependent on mechanical ventilation; 2. Patients with confirmed severe neuromuscular diseases leading to long-term respiratory muscle dysfunction; 3. Patients who die very early during or after surgery (e.g., within 24 hours postoperatively) and for whom key data cannot be collected; 4. Pregnant or breastfeeding women; 5. Patients concurrently participating in interventional clinical trials that may significantly affect inflammation, immunity, metabolism, or respiratory management strategies, and whom the investigator believes may impact the primary outcomes of this study.
