Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1.Aged 18 to 65 years, both sexes; 2.Office systolic blood pressure (SBP) 120-159 mmHg, and/or diastolic blood pressure (DBP) 80-99 mmHg; 3.If currently receiving antihypertensive medications, the drug types and dosages must have remained unchanged for the past 3 months, with a commitment to maintaining a regular medication regimen throughout the trial; 4.Low physical activity level (defined as accumulated leisure-time physical activity=150 minutes per week, exercise training = 2 times per week, and no regular resistance training within the past 6 months); 5.Fully understand the study protocol, voluntarily participate, and sign the written informed consent form.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1.Taking medications that affect cardiac autonomic regulation (i.e., non-dihydropyridine calcium channel blockers); 2.Diagnosed with secondary hypertension; 3.Presence of hypertension-mediated target organ damage (e.g., left ventricular hypertrophy, grade III or higher retinopathy, renal insufficiency with eGFR < 60 ml/min); 4.Comorbid with other severe cardiovascular or cerebrovascular diseases (unstable coronary artery disease, moderate or severe valvular stenosis or regurgitation, atrial or ventricular arrhythmias, stroke or transient ischemic attack, aortic aneurysm and peripheral arterial disease, uncorrected congenital or inherited heart disease, left ventricular ejection fraction < 50%, heart failure); 5.Abnormal cardiovascular response during cardiopulmonary exercise testing; 6.BMI = 35 kg/m²; 7.Presence of diabetic complications or use of insulin; 8.Presence of musculoskeletal conditions that impede the execution of squat training; 9.Any medical condition that, in the judgment of the investigator, makes the subject unsuitable for participation in this study;
