Time-restricted eating:The TRE regimen follows a 16:8 schedule: participants eat freely without caloric restriction within a daily eating window of =8 hours, and then fast for 16 hours.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Aged 60–75 years; 2. Central obesity: BMI between 25.0-35 kg/m² and waist circumference =85/90 cm (female/male); 3. physically inactive: = 12h per day.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Known cardiovascular disease or diabetes; 2. Unstable or short eating window: less than 8 hours/day; 3. Use of medications affecting study outcomes (e.g., antihypertensive, glucose lowering, or lipid-lowering agents); 4. Musculoskeletal disease or injury affecting exercise participation; 5. Following any special or prescribed diet program or participating in any other research study.
