Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Age between 20 and 65 years old, with at least 10 remaining teeth; 2. BMI value between 18.5 and 30; 3. In good health, without diabetes or gastrointestinal diseases; 4. Not pregnant or breastfeeding, and currently not a smoker; 5. No periodontal treatment in the past 6 months; 6. No antibiotic use in the past 3 months; 7. The diagnosis criteria for periodontitis simultaneously meet the following 4 conditions: (1) The most severe affected tooth has a clinical attachment loss (CAL) of >= 5mm and a probing depth (PD) of >= 6mm; (2) Radiographic bone loss reaches the middle 1/3 or apical 1/3 of the root; (3) Tooth loss due to periodontitis is <= 4 teeth; (4) There is no occlusal dysfunction, secondary occlusal trauma, occlusal disorder, tooth displacement, etc. that require complex restoration and reconstruction.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1.Presence of systemic diseases, such as diabetes mellitus and gastrointestinal diseases. 2.Pregnant or lactating women; current smokers. 3.Received periodontal treatment within the past 6 months. 4.Used antibiotics within the past 3 months.
