Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients undergoing elective general anesthesia for non cardiac surgery at the First Hospital of China Medical University and Benxi Central Hospital 2. Age >= 65 years old, gender not limited 3. ASA (American Society of Anesthesiologists) Grades I-III 4. The patient is aware of and agrees to participate in the research plan

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with senile dementia and preoperative cognitive impairment due to head injury 2. Mental or neurological disorders, long-term use of sedatives, opioids, and psychotropic drugs 3. Patients who are unable to communicate due to mental illness or hearing or visual impairments 4. Post operative admission to intensive care unit 5. Emergency surgery patients 6. Unable to conduct METs assessment or refused to participate in the study
