Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients had CBCT and MRI images of temporomandibular joint; 2. The interval between the two examinations was no more than 15 days; 3. CBCT images were diagnosed as cases with widened anterior space and narrowed posterior space of temporomandibular joint, or cases with normal joint space; 4. The age of the patients was between 15 and 60 years old; 5. There was no bone hyperplasia on the anterior slope of condyle or the posterior slope of joint nodules; 6. The quality of imaging images was up to standard (no serious motion artifacts, metal artifacts, clear structure of condyle and joint fossa).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. The patient has a history of temporomandibular joint trauma before undergoing CBCT or MRI examination; 2. Temporomandibular joint treatment was performed between the CBCT and MRI examinations; 3. MRI diagnosis shows disc perforation, deformation, joint effusion, and osteoarthritis; 4. The condyle is flattened, shortened, or reduced in size, or there is significant condylar bone destruction.
