Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. All cases were diagnosed as liver cirrhosis in accordance with the 2015 Chronic Hepatitis B Prevention and Treatment Guidelines and the unified standards proposed by Anthony, and there were no symptoms of overt heart failure; 2. Cases evaluated by gastroscopy as having severe varices with a history of bleeding and/or refractory ascites, meeting the indications for TIPS surgery and having undergone the surgery; 3. Liver function was at Child-B/A or C stage with a score of less than 12; 4. Beta-blocker was discontinued at least 3 days before the operation.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients who have been confirmed by CT or MRI, histopathological examination, etc. before the operation to have liver cirrhosis combined with liver cancer or whose histopathology has confirmed the presence of other malignant tumors such as gastric cancer, pancreatic cancer, etc.; 2. Patients with liver cirrhosis combined with inflammatory bowel diseases such as systemic lupus erythematosus, Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, etc.; 3. Patients with liver cirrhosis combined with severe hematological diseases; 4. Patients with severe cardiac or pulmonary dysfunction (including but not limited to those who had NYHA classification II or above symptoms before the operation, patients with severe coronary artery stenosis, those with mild or above pulmonary hypertension, patients with COPD or severe pulmonary infection, interstitial pneumonia, etc.); 5. Patients with a history of hepatic encephalopathy in the past; 6. Patients with various mild or above organic heart diseases, or those with heart-induced liver cirrhosis due to right heart dysfunction; 7. Patients with chronic renal insufficiency undergoing dialysis; 8. Patients with an expected survival period of less than one year or those who cannot follow medical advice for regular follow-up.
